Asian Asset Manager Appoints Hong Kong CEO

has appointed industry veteran King Lun Au as chief executive, Hong Kong. Au joins from BOCHK Asset Management, where he was CEO for the past five years. He brings almost 30 years of industry experience. In the newly-created role, Au will be responsible for growing the firm’s Hong Kong operations, specifically as a gateway to activities with China. His previous roles include CEO at FRM Hong Kong, where he was in charge of mandates from sovereign and institutional clients. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Advisory Committee and the Financial Services Development Council. “King will play a key role in helping to establish our cross-border activities with China, as well as making a broader contribution to our global business strategy,” said Eastspring Investments' CEO, Guy Strapp. The new addition comes after Eastpring's hires of Bonnie Chan, Mandeep Sachdeva, Arthur Kadish and Shea Pei Shee as portfolio managers within its equity team.
